The CHBA housing competition was a requirement as a student at SAIT in Calgary.

The project brief called for a large single family residence with an outlying secondary structure on an expansive site at the cities Western edge.

The design began with a solar study of the site, then evolved through research into heritage forms, then further developed within the functional demands of the living space.
